Position Title: Department Manager- Pack Out

Location: Mogadore, OH

Reports to: Sr. Production Manager

Job Summary:

The Department Manager, Pack Out will be responsible for leading and directing the Pack Out department for the Mogadore facility. The Department Manager will lead the department in the coordination of personnel, materials, and equipment to optimize direct labor efficiency while managing safety, service, employee relations, and quality standards. Requires extensive short-term planning based on priorities. Involves problem solving and the ability to communicate clearly and secure the cooperation of others. Responsible to understand company policy and resolve related issues. Will generate and support continuous improvements that reduce costs and eliminate waste. Must clearly communicate business goals so associates understand how they contribute to the organization’s success. Some irregular hours will be required.

Job Description:

  • Provideleadership & guidance to the Pack Out department

  • Assuresafety training and work instructions are clearly communicated andfollowed

  • Manageand improve direct labor efficiencies

  • Manageand improve quality

  • ManageDepartment productivity projects and improvements

  • Develop & implement sustainable systems which meetand / or exceed organizational objectives

  • Projectmanagement (i.e. automation and process improvements)

  • Supervisoryvacation coverage and scheduling

  • Departmentsafety champion

  • Assistwith Development Plans for Supervisors and Production Coordinators

  • Prioritizes daily issues andassigns appropriate resources to resolve issues as needed

  • Supports all other departmentalobjectives through teamwork and collaboration

  • Other duties as designated

Qualifications:

  • Must demonstrate effective communication skills, bothwritten and verbal

  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision

  • Must be innovative and be able to develop new, andmaximize existing concepts to improve organizational objectives

  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast pacedenvironment

  • Experience with MS Office software skills includingWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Access (basic), and Outlook

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Five (5) plus years working in a leadership role in amanufacturing environment
