Coordinates and manages contracting activity for Cleveland Clinic. Develops and implements procedures for contract analysis and compliance. This includes analyzing current activity, making recommendations for change, conducting bids and implementing programs to carry out proposed changes. Interacts with departmental personnel to obtain qualitative as well as financial information regarding products and services
Coordinates and manages contracting activity for Cleveland Clinic.
Assists in the development of sourcing strategies that are designed to meet the enterprise goal of cost reduction.
Leads multi-disciplined teams in reviewing goods and services opportunities.
Analyzes corporate programs for potential contract enhancements.
Manages/performs contract negotiations.
Reviews contracts for terms, changes and/or enhancements. Interacts with legal on contract language and terms.
Manages implementation of multi-department projects.
Analyzes organization cost indicators.
Develops formal plan for purchasing/vendor relations group.
Performs multi-entity contract analysis, including rebate and compliance analysis.
Recommends opportunities for contract savings and performs related analysis.
Meets with departments on contract negotiations and identifies participants from clinical areas for contract negotiation.
Maintains appropriate documentation, per department policy.
Maintains the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationships with all vendor representatives, conducts business affairs according to the principles and guidelines of the prudent purchasing philosophy.
Establishes strong customer satisfaction.
Performs data analysis and prepares monthly reports.
Remains current regarding significant developments concerning goods and services purchased; reviews advertising literature, trade journals and other sources of product and service information.

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or related field required.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Five years of related experience required.
Additional experience preferred.
Demonstrates strong financial analysis and customer service skills.
Must possess knowledge of PC computer programs to perform spreadsheet analysis and data extraction.
Ability to review, enhance, change and write contract language to exact terms and conditions required for prudent purchasing practice.
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
Requires frequent sitting, standing and the ability to walk to locations to attend meetings.
Must have normal or correction vision
Must be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
